PHASE One: Before You Build
Design Planning and Discovery
- Define your unique style and identify what you need, want, and desire.
- Review and refine your design ideas, lifestyle requirements, and essential elements with our expert consultation.
- Develop or review your conceptual floor plan, considering space requirements, flow, and creative design finishes.
- Complete assessments, questionnaires, and a conceptual design exercise, leading to the creation of your detailed Pre-Construction Packet.
- Provide your Pre-Construction Packet to your builder, architect, or design team for a smooth and organized start to your project.
PHASE Two: Review Drawings
Drawing Review
- Utilize the Pre-Construction Packet to guide your Builder, Architect, or Design Team in creating your floor plan.
- Use your Pre-Construction Packet as a checklist to thoroughly review the architect’s floor plan.
- Ensure all design notes are accurately reflected on the floor plan before final approval.
- Once approved, the floor plan is converted into detailed construction documents.
- Receive and review the project schedule and timelines from the Builder, then plan your shopping schedule for selecting products and finishes.
- Compile a comprehensive list of all materials and products you need to select, recording your choices for review by all involved parties.
PHASE Three: Let's Go SHOPPING
Shop and Select from the Design Elements Checklist
- Flooring: Choose materials, colors, and brands that match your style.
- Appliances: Select brand, finish/color, and size to suit your kitchen and laundry needs.
- Windows: Pick the brand, type (vinyl, clad, wood, etc.), color, grids, and style (single hung, double hung, casement, etc.).
- Lighting Fixtures: Choose interior and exterior light fixtures as specified in the construction documents.
